INDUSTRIALAs a company rooted in American heavy industry, We understand and appreciate the importance of strength, dependability and economy in industrial structures. Our Dealers work closely with industrial building users to meet stringent construction schedules, assist with designs for machinery and inventory layouts, and assure the design and the manufacture of strong, stable, low-maintenance structures which enhance the image of their users. Our own in-house team of experienced engineers can also help design crane buildings with a unique combination of strengths and hook clearances to fit individual, industrial requirements and criteria. Clear spans of up to 150 feet wide and heights of up to 60 feet are available, while multi-span systems allow for unlimited widths. Our experienced engineers can provide flexibility in solving industrial needs through design and use of mezzanines, customized loading docks, and a variety of door systems. Whatever your company's requirements are for space, height, width, length or load capacity, a Metal Building system can be designed and manufactured to match them closely and economically. We are proud to serve you and to be an integral part of the American industrial machine. Gutters & DownspoutsThese are generally not required on steel buildings. However, use of these components often enhances the appearance of a building, control drip, splash and drainage. Gutters and downspouts are an optional accessory that serves as trim. Gutters dramatically improve the appearance of buildings, and we recommend them for most building applications. Downspouts control the water falling from the roof, preventing the water from splashing up on the sides of the building. On every Metal Building Depot building, die-formed ridge caps are used to cover the peak opening in the center ridge of the building. Some sellers provide a ridge roll cover that must be sealed with closures. Installing ridge roll trim is not an easy task. Over time the exposed foam closures deteriorate and there can be potential leak problems. Our die-formed ridge caps match the panel profile perfectly and are formed to fit the pitch of the roof. Die-formed ridge caps create an almost seamless transition across the roof. Recommended Installation Methods of InsulationRoof insulation rolls are cut to lengths that will cover the distance from eave to eave, leaving a one-foot overhang on each side of the building. 1) Start at the end of the building and temporarily secure one end of the roll by attaching the insulation to the eave strut with double-faced tape. 2) Pull the insulation across the purlins with the vapor barrier toward the building interior. Double-faced tape attached to the opposite end of the insulation will keep tension on the roof roll while the metal panels are being attached over the insulation. 3) Install the next roll in the same manner, making sure the rolls are stretched tight, aligned properly and closely butted. 4) Fasten tabs using one of the methods described on the following page. Any rips or tears must be covered with matching facing tape to ensure a tight vapor seal. 5) Trim excess insulation flush to prevent it from acting as a wick and moving water into the building. Commercial BuildingsIt is said that close to 90% of all new commercial construction is a steel building system. The ease of construction makes a new steel building system more attractive to builders and owners alike. From carwashes to skyscrapers steel has, and will continue to lead the way. Steel buildings are great for workshops or manufacturing facilities, classrooms or church buildings, metal buildings are fast replacing less adaptable building systems. Today, more than ever our world is growing faster and more competitive. Architects and professional building designers are becoming more aware of the benefits of steel from a construction and economical standpoint. As new steel building systems are introduced, we see the bottom line improving on construction projects of all kinds. The ease of construction and versatility makes a steel building attractive for a variety of uses. Metal FrameWhat is a stronger material than metal? Metal frame buildings are nearly indestructible. You can certainly feel safe in even the worst weather in a metal frame structure. Erecting a metal frame pre engineered building might sound like a difficult project, but despite this perception, it is really not the case. Metal frame structures are cut to precise measurements and a complete set of building plans will aid in the assembly process. If you need help constructing your metal building, you will incur additional expenses, so be sure to factor construction cost into your budget when purchasing a steel building.
